Mara Empiris Safari Camp
Welcome to Mara Empiris Safari Camp, an established accommodation nestled at the foot of Oloolaimutia hills in Emboo village. Situated just 15 km from the Sekenani main gate and a mere 5 km from the Oloolaimutia gate on the Eastern side of the renowned Masai Mara National Game Reserve in Kenya, our camp offers a tranquil haven for travelers seeking an unforgettable safari experience. Easily accessible via a 4-5 hour road journey from Nairobi City Center or a swift 25-minute flight to the nearby Keekorok airstrip followed by a short drive to the camp, we provide the perfect launching point for safari adventures. The staff at Mara Empris were brilliant. They made us feel incredibly welcome. One evening they even laid a dinner table outside and made a camp fire for us. Meals were substantial and tasty. The tents were very nice with large comfortable beds and decent showers. This camp is a more basic option compared to some of the luxury options but in my opinion Mara Empris represents excellent value for money.

This place was a wonderful experience for me and my group, we had it as a base for three days during our safari in the Masai Mara park. The camp is surrounded by nice and quiet nature and Masai villages, and it's protected by an electric fence to isolate the guests by wild animals, which get close at night (you can even hear their sounds). The business opened less than one year ago and the whole staff is making his best effort to make it work: everything is brand new and very clean, the food is well cooked and served in generous portions, and the staff is so kind and enthusiastic that it's almost hard to believe for people from Europe like us. A special thank to the manager, with whom we have had very nice talks about life experiences and perspectives, sitting around the fire in the evening. We really hope to come back.

I stayed at the tented resort camp for the Easter holidays. The place is sparkly clean. The staff are kind and patient. It's closer to the mara gate for your safari. The manager is available on sight and it's easy to get assistance when you need it. I was happy that there are no mosquitoes so you can sleep peacefully. Communicate your diet needs in time so they can easily take care it. I would be happy to stay here again.
